What is the future of Wikimania, and how should it evolve going forward?
In 2016, the bidding and selection process for Wikimania was altered to avoid asking chapters to spend many hours and resources in failed bids. The steering committee has been revamped with new members, and is eager to hear more viewpoints on how location and themes are determined, and how Wikimania could be improved going forward.
A recap of the last discussion at Wikimania 2016 in Esino Lario, Italy, may be useful.[1]
