Abstract (up to 300 words to describe your proposal)

This workshop aims to enable people to use the Wikidata Query Service, a tool that allows querying the data stored on Wikidata

It will explain helpful features and basic steps how someone can get the desired results by modifying one of the various example queries.

This Workshop will give a 15 minutes presentation to the Wikidata Query Service and then 30 minutes hands on hacking on queries with the help of the organizers.

What will attendees take away from this session?

After this workshop you will have a basic understanding of SPARQL and a good picture of what is possible with Wikidata Query Service.
