Admissibility to Canada

I don't know if it's appropriate to mention on this page, but if you have any kind of criminal record please verify that you are admissible to Canada before traveling [1]. Canada has stricter rules than most countries (including the USA) about what crimes make you inadmissible. For example, they will turn you away at your point of entry (port, airport, border) if you have been convicted of driving under the influence, even if you don't plan to drive in Canada. You then have to return to your country of origin immediately. --Spike Wilbury (talk) 11:59, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Mobile connectivity

I have seen various people in various venues ask about how to buy prepaid SIM card. http://prepaid-data-sim-card.wikia.com/wiki/Canada looks pretty informative, but it would be great if someone knowledgeable could add a summary with local information to this page (e.g. listing branches of those vendors that are near the venue and hotel). Airport Express bus 747

The linked STM Airport Express bus 747 page says there are two routes. Which should we use to reach the Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:18, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am not from Montreal, but from what I gather on the STM's website, you need to take the one that says "Downtown"/"Centre-ville"; it will have a stop near the Sheraton. The other route is an express route that goes directly to the terminus at Lionel-Groulx metro station without stopping downtown. Amqui (talk) 16:30, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Pigsonthewing: - You'll want to take the "Destination Centre-ville (downtown)." Depending on your destination:
  • Grey Nuns/Concordia dormitory - get off at Guy / René-Lévesque. The dorm is on the other side of the street, halfway down the block of Rue Guy.
  • Le Centre Sheraton/Conference venue - get off at Drummond or Peel. Sheraton is on the order side of the street.
There is Wifi on the bus, in case you don't have or want to use mobile data. Hope that helps! -- Fuzheado (talk) 18:21, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
