I have been a Wikimedian since 2003, mostly contributing to the English and German Wikipedia as User "HaeB".

I gave Wikipedia-related presentations at Wikimania 2008 (abstract, slides and notes), Wikimania 2009 (abstract, slides and notes), 26C3 (abstract, slides and notes), a 2012 zhwiki meetup (slides), Wikimania 2012 (abstract, slides), Wikimania 2013 (as presenter and panelist), Wikimania 2014 (as panelist and co-presenter), Wikimania 2015 (as presenter and co-presenter), and Wikimania 2016 (as presenter and co-presenter).

I have been working for the Wikimedia Foundation since July 2011 - formerly in the Communications team, moving to the Product and Strategy department and subsequently the Reading team as Senior Analyst in 2015. Among other things, I co-founded and continue to edit the Wikimedia Research Newsletter, and used to edit and publish the Foundation's regular (quarterly, formerly monthly) activity reports from 2011 to 2015. Previously, as volunteer, I served as the editor of the Signpost on the English Wikipedia from 2010 to 2011.
