The Wikimaps User Group has been established this year. Meeting at Wikimania gives on opportunity to meet and discuss what the community can accomplish together. This would include the adoption of Wikimedia maps in Wikimedia projects, developing the use of scanned maps, working together with geographical data in Wikidata and applying geographic data in the practices of the structured data in Commons.
