Abstract (up to 300 words to describe your proposal): In this lecture I will describe the People Picture project at Wikimedia Israel. The aim of this project is to create high quality photos of public figures which can be used in Wikipedia. Many Articles about public figures do not have an image of the person. Other articles have an outdated or low quality image. This project had made many new high quality free images and also guided many public figures in updating their own photos in their articles. Some public figures had also helped in updating their own and other Wikipedia articles textually. The photgraphy equipment in this project was funded as a Microgrant by Wikimedia Israel

What will attendees take away from this session?: The attendees will learn about this project with hope they will be able to build a project like this one in their own country. They will be able to learn how to efficiently build such a project with based on the experience of this 3 year project. They will be able to learn how to create high quality images by using basic photography equipment without special studio instruments on site.
