Abstract (up to 300 words to describe your proposal)

Kiwix is the offline Wikipedia reader that broke the one million users mark in 2016: whereas 80% of Wikipedia's readership is in the North, 80% of our users are in the Global South. Offline is here to stay, but what does it mean in terms of usage patterns or content needs? How do we make sure that people get the most and the best, even with a limited access (or no access at all) to internet?

--

What will attendees take away from this session? A good understanding of upcoming releases, and how Wikimedians and wiki projects can help offline users get the best of the content they produce.
