The Philippines is a multicultural and an archipelagic state comprised of 18 administrative regions covering 7,641 islands with over 100,000,000 speakers of more than 100 languages. There are 8 editions of Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects in the Philippine languages including those in incubation.
Currently, there are two (2) Wikimedia affiliate organizations based in the country namely Wikimedia Philippines (WMPH) and Philippine Wikimedia Community User Group (PH-WC). There are more online/offline communities of contributors and volunteers based in different parts of the country with a common Wikimedia project/s and activities. These communities can be a component community of WMPH or PH-WC, an independent group, an unrecognized Wikimedia user group or an online community of Wikimedians.
This talk will attempt to answer these questions:
1) What are the profiles of Wikimedia communities in the Philippines?
2) How did these communities evolve?
3) How do they relate with each other?
4) What is the track being taken by each community?

Attendees will learn about the diversity of Wikimedians in the Philippines and how they interact, collaborate and co-exist as one community.
