The presentation gives an insight into the last 5 years of Wikipedia:Festivalsommer, a photographers project for concert and festival photography on Commons and organized in the German Wikipedia. In the last five years, this project provided about 90.000 photos from concerts and festivals in Germany and some countries around, depicting thousands of bands and perfoming musicians in the Wikipedia projects. I will provide insight on the accreditation process and photographer commitment, opportunities and barriers of the project, and also try to offer ideas for an international concept for the future.
