Abstract (up to 300 words to describe your proposal)
As we write this, we are most of the way through March 2017, and thus the fourth annual Art+Feminism Wikipedia Editathon. Over the course of the last four years, organizers on all six inhabited continents have held 500+ events which have brought together thousands of editors, who in turn have created thousands of articles. We are proposing a meetup that will bring together organizers from around the world to meet each other in person, often for the first time.
What will attendees take away from this session?
This will provide an opportunity to build new friendships and partnerships amongst the existing Art+Feminism community, and an opportunity for the larger Wikimedia community to learn more about participating in the campaign. We held a similar event at Wikicon USA in Washington DC, and many of the US based organizers met for the first time; we hope that we can achieve this with the international organizers.
